Jeremy Adeyanju Commits to Washington: "That's When I Knew This Was the Right Place"
Arizona three-star RB Jeremy Adeyanju commits to Washington Huskies after Junior Day visit, choosing UW over USC and others

Three-star running back Jeremy Adeyanju of Sandra Day O’Connor High School in Arizona, committed to the University of Washington on Sunday, giving the Huskies one of the top offensive backfield pledges in their 2027 class.
Adeyanju is ranked as the seventh-best prospect in the state of Arizona in the 2027 cycle per the Rivals Industry Ranking. At 6-foot, 215 pounds, he profiles as a physical yet versatile back capable of running between the tackles and creating big plays in space.
The commitment came one week after Adeyanju attended UW’s Junior Day on March 8. It was there, he says, that Washington separated itself.
The moment I really knew that UW was the right fit was going to Junior Day and talking to the players, seeing how they treated everyone and how happy they looked,” Adeyanju said. “That’s when I knew this was the right place to be.
Washington running backs coach Scottie Graham has been the primary recruiter on Adeyanju since extending an offer on January 20, 2026. Graham’s pitch — and the culture Adeyanju witnessed firsthand on Montlake — ultimately proved more compelling than a strong offer sheet that included Arizona State, USC, Florida, Michigan, and others.
After Junior Day, Adeyanju made an unofficial visit to USC, a visit that was publicly reported. Washington held firm. He announced his commitment on Sunday.
Adeyanju describes his game as a blend of physicality and speed — a back who can lower his shoulder but also separate from defenders in the open field.
“The role I see myself [in] is a RB that’s physical but also has the speed to run away from defenders,” he said.
With the commitment now in hand, Adeyanju is still scheduled for an official visit to Washington on May 29–31, which will give him a chance to experience the program in a more formal setting ahead of signing day.
Washington’s 2027 class continues to take shape under head coach Jedd Fisch, and Adeyanju’s commitment adds a high-upside skill position prospect to a class that is quickly building momentum.
