Washington Hosting Key 2026 Targets for June 6–8 Visit Weekend
Top 2026 football recruits including Mason James, Kai Wesley, and Tufanua Umu-Cais visiting Washington Huskies during key official visit weekend
After a successful official visit weekend to close out May, the Huskies are set to host another batch of top 2026 targets starting Friday. This group features standout skill players, trench talent from the West Coast, and several prospects who already have strong relationships with the staff after spring visits.
Here are the recruits who have confirmed their travel plans to Seattle for the June 6–8 window (star ratings and rankings come from 247 Sports).
6/5 Update: Added Samu Moala.
Four-star WR Mason James (2026)
5-11, 175 lbs, Norman North HS in Oklahoma - No. 229 player overall, No. 37 WR, and No. 2 player in Oklahoma.
James has Washington in his Top 5, along with hometown Oklahoma, Kansas State, Missouri, and Texas. After this visit to Washington, he will visit Texas (June 13) and Oklahoma (June 20). He plans to announce his commitment on June 25. It is a good sign for the Huskies that James has already visited Seattle multiple times this year, in April and March. James also had an in-home visit from Washington wide receivers coach Kevin Cummings in May. He is without a doubt a key target on the board at wideout.
Three-star CB Jeron Jones (2026)
6-0, 175 lbs, Mission Viejo HS in California - No. 480 player overall, No. 34 CB, and No. 42 player in California
Jones is a dynamic defensive back who made multiple trips to Washington during the spring. UW secondary coach John Richardson visited Jones in May. Though the Huskies already have four committed players in the secondary, they may be looking for one more to protect against a possible defection before signing day. A February scouting report from Greg Biggins calls Jones “a true ball hawk.”
Texas A&M commit four-star EDGE Samu Moala
6-4, 225 lbs, Leuzinger HS in California - No. 267 overall, No. 27 EDGE, and No. 28 player in California
According to Blair Angulo from 247 Sports, Moala is expected to visit Washington this weekend. Moala has been committed to Texas A&M since last October, but will be visiting Washington this weekend and UCLA next weekend. If a flip is in the works, I doubt it will happen this weekend. But, still, this weekend will be the first step in Washington’s efforts to become a factor in Moala’s recruitment.
Three-star EDGE Fameitau Siale
6-4, 240 lbs, O’Dea HS in Seattle - No. 532 player overall, No. 48 EDGE, and No. 3 player in Washington
Siale is a local standout and remains a top edge rusher still on the board for the 2026 class. Washington’s defensive coaching staff made a home visit with Siale in May as they look to pair him with recent commit Derek Colman-Brusa. Of note, Washington is also recruiting Siale’s O’Dea teammate, edge rusher David Schwerzel. Can the Huskies land the two local recruits from O’Dea?
Three-star LB Ezaya Tokio (2026)
6-4, 210 lbs, Oceanside HS in California - No. 1209 player overall, No. 106 LB, and No. 105 player in California
Washington’s coaching staff met in person with Tokio back in January. Since then, Robert Bala departed for Florida, and Jedd Fisch hired Brian Odom as the UW’s linebackers coach. Despite this coaching change, Tokio has remained interested in Washington, and it looks like Odom and the rest of UW’s coaching staff continue to make Tokio a priority. Along with attending Junior Day in March, Tokio attended a spring practice in April and had a home visit with Odom in May.
Three-star Tufanua Ionatana Umu-Cais (2026)
6-3, 295 lbs, Cherry Creek HS in Colorado - No. 446 player overall, No. 56 DL, and No. 4 player in Colorado
With his height and weight, Umu-Cais is a physically dominant lineman and one of the top recruits in Colorado. He received a visit from UW defensive coordinator Ryan Walters and defensive line coach Jason Kaufusi in May. He has already visited Stanford and UCLA, and will visit Colorado State in two weeks.
Three-star TE Kai Wesley (2026)
6-7, 240 lbs, Orem HS in Utah - No. 1000 player overall, No. 49 TE, and No. 14 player in Utah

Washington is a Top 5 finalist for Wesley, along with Colorado State, Baylor, Boise State, and Florida State. Wesley has emerged as one of Washington tight end coach Jordan Paopao’s top priorities. In April, Wesley made an unofficial visit to Washington, and in May, Paopao traveled to Utah multiple times to see Wesley.
TE/LB Sam Vyhlidal (2026)
6-4, 225 lbs, Mountain Side HS in Oregon
Do not sleep on Washington’s recruitment of Vyhlidal. The Huskies offered in mid-May and were able to get the Northwest recruit on campus for an official visit this weekend. Vyhlidal brings versatile production to the table after earning all-state honors at both tight end and linebacker in 2024. He is one of a handful of tight end prospects the Huskies have pursued in the cycle.
QB Sione Tu’amoheloa-Kaho (2027)
6-3, 205 lbs, Lincoln HS in Tacoma, No. 264 player overall, No, 18 QB, No. 2 player in Washington (2027)
While not taking an official visit, in-state 2027 quarterback Sione Tu’amoheloa-Kaho will also be visiting UW this weekend. Kaho has made multiple trips to Montlake this spring, and quarterbacks coach Jimmie Dougherty visited him in May. He remains one of the top early quarterback targets for Washington in the 2027 cycle.
